Air-cooled VWs are better anyway! I find any of their post-2000 stuff really bland, personally. I’ve also heard their reliability has gone downhill. Not sure how much truth there is to that!

I’ve owned a ton of air cooled beetles, a lot of them were supposed to be just for one summer, but lasted longer then expected.
I’ve owned two water pumping VWs, they did their job I guess, end of story. Gotta admit that air conditioning was nice...
